Pop up blockers, are they hurting your bottom line? They are mine.

Anyone work around them, to beat them? I hear new MS Service pack will kill pop ups by default.

Sorry, I know you all say that they help you make money... but me personally, I hate them. Especially when you shut one and another pops-up, and another, and another... I personally will never visit that site again.

I think that pop-up blockers are a great thing... now I can surf, see these sites I may want to join or promote and not get hassled with all the other crap that may, or may not, interest me. That's just my feelings though.

Yea they hurt sales. So may as well jump on the bandwagon. You got about 2 or 3 weeks till Micro$ launches there's so may as well make some $ while you can.

I agree with him that popups can be annoying, but that's the price you pay to surf these sites. Bandwidth isn't free. Some people will never understand that.

What I don't get is how it benefits Microsoft to damage the profits of their many Internet business clients who use their software.

And so everyone knows, the popup blocker built into Service Pack 2 not only beats standard popups, but also the popups that beat the Google bar. The release of SP2 will be the beginning of the end for exit revenue.

hmm, I did not realize that. There could still be a way to use popups, but it might have to install a trojan program on the user's computer to stop service pack 2 from blocking popups..

No, I fully understand that bandwith is not free, however if you piss people off with endless pop-ups, how is that helping you make a sale. As an affilliate, if the sale is not made, I do not get paid so we both lose.

Again, that is just me. But when I get so many pop-ups that I have to re-boot my computer just to make them stop... I have to say, I am not too happy when that happens.

Sorry, this is something that I cannot agree with... I mean I understand why they are used... But there are some things I will not do just to make an extra buck.

My thoughts exactly. There is too much revenue to be lost there.
