Looking through JFK's photos.

Guy sitting at Epoch / Paycom dinner in a wife beater. Pure Class. At least he got an invitation though. Ours must have been lost in the mail, again.

That's the beauty of webmaster shows. Whenever anyone is going for the first time, they always ask what they should wear. The standard answer is "anything"

The guy on the right looks just thrilled to be having dinner with him, never understood why so many people would attend dinner with 40+ people many of whom they don't know and be stuck with them for over 2+ hours.

From the looks of the 2nd picture he looks like he's about to cough something up onto the table. A gerbil or a piece of steak perhaps?

Isn't that Tony Siragusa?

Meet and greet! I've done lots of business with people I've met at these large dinners. I try and make it a point not to sit with someone I already know

He is one of the pioneers of the industry, likely making boatloads of money before most everyone in this thread.

I am not going to say his name, as he rarely attends shows and does not socialize much; the pictures are a rarity.

Few people know him. I do. He is a real good guy, he just doesn't care that much about other people's opinions.

There are a lot of programs that would not be around to this day if it were not for his ventures.

Class? Come on now. Most webmasters look like complete shit. Most of the people that post on boards can't even articulate sentences correctly. I don't own a program and I can assure you I could teach a class to this industry on class.

This guy wears a tank top and has a few tattoos and he is condemned?

Let us not forget our roots.

Heard this bit on NPR the other day about Speed Networking- kind of like speed dating but with business people trying to make connections. You get like 5 minutes to talk about what you do.

That way you dont get stuck listening to someone with bad breath yammering endlessly.

I think a lot of people go to shows to meet with the people they already know.

I have a good sized contact list from meeting new people. I am with Peaches, at a dinner, I would assume sit by someone I do not know.

People are constantly in pursuit of board personas. They assume them to be the end all. Funny way this industry is.

I love going to large dinners! I always sit at a table where I don't know anyone. I'd rather sit at a table for 2 hours than go to a sardine festival where I leave with a sore throat from screaming. I met Seth and the rest of the soulcash crew that way!

Thats funny we didn't get invited to the Paycom dinner either and process a nice 6 figs with them every month. Hell I'm lucky if I hear back from my "rep" in that case, I sure wish I could get it changed to Keith.. He answers me on time everytime and doesn't even get the comission.

Our first show was '99 in Miami. We had tickets for the CEN casinoboat so we brought suits and everything from Europe.
Let's just say that's the last time we brought suits. Everyone we spoke to said "you guys must be European". There's definitly a different dresscode in the US. Much more relaxed.

Do not feel bad. I was the 32nd account sent up with Paycom, from the start. We have been invited to 1 dinner in all those years. I am not a player, but also not a small time guy. They have made a small fortune off me over the years. Atleast a few lobster tails and bottles of Cristal worth!
