Only if the site's upload capacity is there. Who's gonna have the cpacity to service a whole site worth of customers each of whom is downloading at that kind of rate? Even now with a cable modem at around 4 MB/s, it's almost never "my end" which is the limitting factor on downloads. How much would/will it cost "our" end to match this type of capacity?

In addition, won't this lead to surfers just joining sites on their trials, raping them of content, and then cancelling?

So what good would a customer of yours get out of having a download capacity of 200 Megs? (But actually, I wasn't talking about what you offerred your customers as individual rates. I was asking about your total capacity to upload. Sorry I wasn't more clear the first time out.)

I believe that our capacity to upload surpasses HD quality programming on a real-time streaming level. However, it comes down to the end user being able to handle that push. Anything over a sustained 768k-1mb download speed is probably overkill if you're not talking about HD.

This isn't that hard to pull off with a decent host, however who's going to want to pay the b/w bill? As far as surfers raping your content, DRM, see how much they enjoy GB's of data on their hard drives with no way to view it. Re-activations are a nice chunk of change.

And I thought the 5Mbps I get with Adelphia now was good. That is awesome!

My new house is in an area where Comcast is the provider, so I am good to go when it happens. Sweet!

Fabian - Looking at the quality of XTV now I dont see why this will affect you guys in any ways. XTV already works really well now.
